How to Buy Electricity Tokens Online
Guide to buying prepaid electricity tokens and paying postpaid bills online in Nigeria with Nasco Data, including how to check the meter name before paying.
When your prepaid meter runs low, you can buy a token from your phone in a minute instead of looking for a vendor. Nasco Data supports the major distribution companies across Nigeria.
Before you pay
- Know your disco, for example Ikeja Electric, Eko Electric or Abuja Electric.
- Know whether your meter is prepaid or postpaid.
- Have your meter number (or account number for postpaid) ready.
Steps
- Open Electricity and choose your disco.
- Select prepaid or postpaid and enter the meter number.
- Check the customer name shown. If it is wrong, recheck the meter number.
- Enter the amount and confirm with your PIN.
Where to find your token
For prepaid meters, the token appears on the receipt and stays in your transaction history, so you can copy it again later. Type it into the meter keypad exactly as shown.
